With over five decades of experience spanning accounting, taxation, law, and real estate development, Carl offers deep strategic guidance across multiple facets of business operations—especially in high-stakes regulatory and financial environments.

Carl began his career as a staff and tax accountant with prestigious New York firms, including Oppenheim, Appel, and Dixon, and Margolin, Winer, and Evans. His early foundation in accounting led him to executive roles in real estate development, where he oversaw large-scale residential projects throughout South Florida, including multi-story buildings and expansive single-family communities.

Driven by a passion for complex legal and financial matters, Carl earned his Juris Doctor from Nova University School of Law and practiced law for two decades, advising clients on corporate law, taxation, estate planning, and compliance. He later established his own law firm, Carl S. Karmin, P.A., where he has served clients for over 20 years.

In 2021, Carl co-founded VMS Medallion, LLC, a fintech startup that provides Medallion Signature Guarantee services, streamlining secure asset transfers for financial institutions and individuals nationwide. His leadership in VMS Medallion reflects his ability to build compliant, service-oriented businesses that meet the evolving needs of a digital-first economy.
